Charlotte Stafford is an Assistant Producer at Quite Frankly and a new addition to our shadow board. We spoke to Charlotte about learning every single day, telling human stories and meaningful progress.
Tell us about where you are now, and what you love about your job/ course.
I’m an Assistant Producer for Quite Frankly Productions, working alongside an incredibly talented team. Something I love about my job is that no two days are the same, there is always a new challenge or approach to be taken to projects, leaving a real sense of accomplishment, but also continued growth and learning every single day.
Tell us a bit about your journey to get there.
The video creation world has always been something I’ve had my heart set on. I studied Television Production at Bournemouth University, providing me with a basis for my knowledge but where my industry knowledge really accelerated was when I did my internship. Shortly after this I joined Quite Frankly and haven’t looked back!
For those readers still considering whether this industry is the right place for them, tell us what you most love about it. What appeals to you about this industry?
The thing I love most about the industry is the human stories and experiences. With collaboration so key in what we do, you have the chance to delve into so many different minds, from colleagues, to clients, to interviewees, which can really enrich your own.
Looking forwards, what do you think the future of the industry is going to look like? What changes are you excited to see?
Looking forward I’m excited to see a continued push for meaningful progress in areas such as sustainable and ethically produced content.
Another thing I look forward to is continuing to embrace new technology, obviously including AI, and allowing it not only help streamline processes, but allowing it to bring new creativity and visual styles to the industry.
