EVCOM Industry Awards 2018 hosted its Summer Shortlist Party at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Pall Mall, London to officially reveal the shortlisted entries for the EVCOM Industry Awards 2018. Representatives from more than 60 agencies gathered to hear the shortlist revealed and to join in the celebrations.
Rachel Pendered, incoming chair of EVCOM, said “These awards are much sought after, coveted and extremely hard to win. Just being shortlisted is a huge achievement. This year EVCOM has taken the bold decision to allow only clients, commissioners and specialist judges, to view and rate the work. EVCOM is the champion of excellence, creativity and innovation in our industry. Our member’s pursuit of excellence and our pride in showcasing this to the wider World is one of the things that makes EVCOM special.”
Pendered was joined on stage by Des Good, fellowship director, who paid tribute to the careers of EVCOM Fellows past and present in a special 20th anniversary address.
The awards, hosted by Tobacco Dock London on November 30, will see winners announced across 30 categories recognising excellence in the communication disciplines screen, live and digital disciplines.
Six categories remain open until September and nominations are sought in the best agency and best challenger agency categories as well as, for the first time, best internal or in-house team.
