As 2020 draws to a close, we have put together a report of EVCOM’s year.
This has been an incredibly unusual and difficult year for many people in our industry. We responded through campaigning for the rights and recognition of our industry through our involvement with the BVEP and EIB. We set up a virtual programme which allowed our membership to continue to come together, to share knowledge and to learn. Like many people we pivoted, running our two awards ceremonies virtually, to ensure that despite the current situation, we were still able to showcase and celebrate the best of of corporate film and corporate events. We also raised money for the NHS through our campaign film, ‘These Are The Hands’, a collaborative project put together with the support of EVCOM Members and Partners such as the BFI. We began several new initiatives, including the FOCUS Award, new member-only spaces and a freelance support offer. We also renewed our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
