2019 EVCOM Calendar of Events in full swing
As Spring is beginning to tempt us all out of hiding, here at EVCOM we have been working hard to bring you a full programme of events for the rest of the year. The updated events programme is full of exciting additions and innovations.
Following on from the trio of Campfire Sessions opening our 2019 calendar, we will hold a CEO Roundtable on 9th May. We invite CEOs, MDs and Board-level Directors of member and non-member agencies to attend an invitation-only roundtable to discuss the post-Brexit international trading environment and new and emergent opportunities.
Annual conference date for your diary
The much anticipated annual conference, EVCOMference19 will take in place in September – the autumn edition – and will feature a fantastic range of speakers and workshop opportunities. Join us for The 4th Industrial Revolution – Navigating the New Normal. Open for individual and agency-wide tickets soon.
2019 will also see the welcome return of the hugely popular Clarion Awards, which will celebrate the best in corporate social responsibility and sustainability across the film, live events and digital sectors. 20 distinct categories will prioritise diversity, inclusion, environmental wellbeing and environmental management. Film makers and events agencies will go head to head to be recognised for their work.
New format for EVCOM Industry Awards renamed
We are also incredibly excited to soon preview a new format for our annual EVCOM Industry Awards. Comprising the EVCOM London Film Awards and the EVCOM London Live Awards categories will soon be open for entries. Judged, as always, by clients and commissioners only, sector specific categories will be sure to recognise true excellence in the creative industries. The awards will feature extended screening of shortlisted and winning entries to an invited audience and an after-party to celebrate our shared success.
Call for nominations to the Board
We are also saying goodbye to the brilliant Rachel Pendered (Media Zoo), who will be stepping down from the role of chair here at EVCOM due to family commitments. She has chaired EVCOM since July 2018 and has consistently brought her creativity and commitment to the role, helping us to make EVCOM the best it can be.
“We thank her for all her hard work and wish her well,” says Jenny Jenkins, EVCOM CEO.
Nominations to the Board will be opening on 2nd May and we encourage agencies to consider joining the Board and playing an active role.
