Today is DAY ONE of EVCOM’s Big Skills Share project, a chance for people across our community to share skills and learn from each other. Today is all about creative inspiration, so we were delighted to welcome artists and creatives to share their work and ideas via our platform.
Richard Holman
The brilliant Richard Holman kicked off today’s programme! How do we get great ideas he asked? His top tips:
- start with the worst idea
- don’t evaluate while you create
- STEAL

Lucie Arnoux
Illustrator and artist Lucie Arnoux continued our skills share, with a talk about her creative process, including a real life example of a project’s journey from brief to final completion!
She talks about the variety of projects across which she works, a dynamic which she finds really helpful to the creative process. She recommends the art of constant, every day doodling! “Don’t take your sketch book seriously,” Lucie says. She then leads us through her latest project, an illustration for a new website called ‘The Museum of Now‘, sharing her creative process through the project.
