This March, our Executive Director, Claire Fennelow, was invited for a night of traditional Scottish celebration with the SEC.
Claire Fennelow says, “I had the great pleasure of attending the SEC’s traditional Burns Night celebration last night. Not on it’s more usual traditional date but delayed to ensure that the most people could attend safely. This did not detract from a wonderful evening in the spectacular Guildhall surrounded by people determined to enjoy an evening of celebration with much (!) good food and wine. The speeches were great – and funny (Peter Duthie, CEO, SEC) . The toasts; to the haggis, the lassies and the laddies, rousingly cheered and the dancing taken up with gusto – although sadly not by me with the multiple excuses of dodgy knee, dodgy ankle and two left feet.
Thank you for a great night to all involved. I’m already looking forward to next year.”
