For this month’s member feature article, we asked our members to send in their work responding to the theme of ‘internal’. They have shared memorable events they’ve created for their own team and internal livestreams that have brought global departments together. And they have contributed films that have opened headquarters, showcased key values and introduced a fresh vision to an organisation!

Take a look at the wonderful featured projects below:

Kaptcha capture Cardiff as Legal & General open new headquarters

Kaptcha were asked to produce a film to get Legal & General’s colleagues excited about the opening of their new Welsh headquarters in Cardiff.

Cardiff is known for its warmth, chatty locals, an array of castles and (while we were filming) a Tom Jones concert which brought crowds flooding to the city.  The film needed to capture the vibrancy and diversity of the city, with Legal & General being an embedded part of the culture and landscape.

Initially intended to be shown to L&G employees on their first day in their new HQ, upon review, the Internal Comms team at L&G were proud to share it further with the wider group as well as use it on LinkedIn to help attract new talent to apply to join L&G in Cardiff.

From the early morning hum of the markets setting up shop, to clients in a popular tattoo parlour, street artists busking and the Tom Jones concert in the castle- the Kaptcha crew busily picked up footage of the city, placing the L&G office at the centre of this buzzing hub.

Casual introduce key values and opportunities for FrieslandCampina

Casual made this project for FrieslandCampina in early 2024, filming with their employees in the Netherlands and Malaysia. It’s an onboarding film that will be one of the first pieces of content that new employees at FrieslandCampina watch. The film’s purpose is to introduce the company’s key values, showcase the many opportunities for employees, and demonstrate the support that is given to everyone who works at FrieslandCampina.

By conducting pre-interviews, we ensured that everyone featured had something different and inspiring to bring to the film. The team at Casual Hong Kong filmed in Malaysia and worked closely with the Casual Amsterdam team to ensure we both shot footage that edited together seamlessly.

The result is a captivating piece of content that has been used as an internal film and cut down to be used in FrieslandCampina’s online social content.

Kinura livestream, collaborate and deliver hybrid

Producing internal communications videos and livestreams is a core service for Kinura. One regular client, advertising agency VML (part of the WPP Group), streams Town Hall meetings live on Teams, often in a hybrid format with remote links to the USA and other regions. The challenge lies in managing the complexities of live broadcasting and remaining flexible to accommodate last-minute format or scheduling changes. By understanding our clients’ needs both on-site and behind the scenes, and ensuring a reliable technical setup, we help reduce the stress of live events. Once a livestream format is established, Kinura is often introduced to other departments within large organizations. For VML, we’ve supported internal DEI and HR communications and collaborated on hybrid events for end-client projects across multiple locations.

Pure Communications create memorable internal experiences for their team

At Pure Communications Group, we are always looking for the next internal initiative to expand our employee wellbeing program. As a tradition, we hold 2 internal company meetings per year, where senior leadership gives updates to all staff on company performance and business targets, encouraging an internal culture of transparency. For our most recent meeting, we decided to make things a little more interesting and treated the team to a mini getaway! We travelled out of London to Coworth Park for a day of meetings, teambuilding activities, and countryside relaxation. The team got to explore the hotel’s beautiful grounds and play some traditional British summer lawn games. As event professionals, it’s easy to get bogged down with client events. However, we at Pure, believe it is equally important to create memorable internal experiences for our team, so that we can all be reminded of the amazing industry we work in and the impact our work has.

Reels in Motion bring a new employee vision to life

Reels in Motion partnered with Aspire Housing, a housing association based in Staffordshire and Cheshire, to create a video that brought their new employee vision and values to life. Aspire Housing had undergone rapid growth and significant changes, leading them to feel disconnected from their core culture and sense of unity. To address this, they introduced a fresh set of visions and values aimed at reconnecting their team, and they turned to video as a powerful way to convey this. They created the video to be delivered at their annual conference when all stakeholders were in attendance.

Reels in Motion crafted a 3-minute film that not only showcased Aspire Housing’s new vision and values but also emphasised the vital role each individual within the organisation plays in its success. Every actor and voiceover featured in the film was a real employee or representative of the housing association, from tradespeople to office staff, making the message truly authentic and inclusive.

The final product was highly praised and everyone felt it ignited a new sense of togetherness. HR Director, Tracey Johnson MBE stated:

“As an organisation we could not be more delighted with the work that Reels in Motion has produced and how they told the Aspire Story. We spoke to several other production companies but Reels in Motion were head and shoulders above the rest in terms of creativity and quality. The film is a legacy piece, thank you Matt, Phil and all the guys you really are top of your industry.”

Thank you so much to our contributors for sharing your wonderful work!
