Covid-19 has highlighted the lack of support available to the freelance community, as well as how much this industry relies upon and values them!
When this all began, we asked some of our freelance members to share their experience of the current crisis, to help us understand how we could help:

We are committing to two new initiatives to support freelancers in our industry.
The first is the realisation of a commitment that we made in one of our first EVCOM Sessions. We know how valuable freelancers are in our community, so we have approached EVCOM corporate film and video members, and asked them to commit to meeting more freelancers for future projects.

If you are a freelancer, please get in touch with Claire at Claire.fennelow@evcom.org.uk, and specify three companies from this list that you have always wanted an introduction to. We will facilitate one of these introductions, which will lead to either a virtual or an in-person meeting.
Please note, this isn’t a guarantee of work, however it is a chance for freelancers and production companies alike to grow their networks and increase their chance of work in the long-term.
Secondly, to support freelancers across the live and film sectors, we are offering free membership to EVCOM for the rest of 2020.
