Our Talking Pictures series in association with the British Film Institute will offer insight into top performing industries, exploring how the wisdom of hindsight and present day trends in brand film content can help inform future creative approaches.
The next event, on 14th November, will be looking at the FMCG industry and those brands that act with purpose. We will focus on sustainable brands that combine a strong social or environmental purpose.
Why you don’t want to miss this?
In the last couple of years a major challenge has been for brands and their creative agencies to understand the difference between rallying behind a cause and standing for a purpose.
Our industry will see a greater incorporation of purpose into brand storytelling, with a real emphasis on positivity. We need to evolve away from cause and toward purpose. The reason is simple; people and Millennials in particular aspire to brands which reflect a fundamental attitude, a profound reason for being, a positive change which they want to see in the world. Creative teams will increasingly be challenged to tell their clients’ stories more positively and creatively.
We believe this special screening event, showcasing brands executing truly exemplary brand purpose films will suitably intrigue, influence and inform your creative approaches. We’ll also look a few brands that got it wrong, so the rest of us can get it right.
