NORA BOUCHTAT

i’m Nora Bouchtat, a passionate creator with a diverse background in technical theatre, arts education, and community engagement. My journey started with a degree in 3D Animation and Games Design, but it was through hands-on experience in theatre, film production, and live events that I truly found my creative voice. I’ve worked as a sound and lighting engineer at venues like The Albany and Theatre Peckham, where I learned the ins and outs of technical theatre, stage management, and QLab programming.

In addition to my technical skills, I’ve volunteered with various organisations like Arts Network, where I helped facilitate art workshops for individuals with mental health challenges, and M.U.D., where I ran horticulture workshops for the Black and Caribbean community. These experiences taught me the power of creativity in bringing people together and making a difference.

I’m also deeply inspired by performance art, particularly cabaret, drag, and the raw, unpredictable expressions that make these forms of art so empowering. I’ve even had the opportunity to perform in a cabaret show at Bonkers Bar in Dalston, which was a transformative experience. I’m excited to continue blending my technical expertise with my creative passions to contribute to a thriving arts community.

I’m always seeking opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow, and I’m passionate about creating spaces where underrepresented voices can shine.
