This March 2021 we are celebrating International Women’s Month in collaboration with HBAA, and this week we held our first panel discussion of the programme!
We were joined by an inspiring group of industry leaders: Katie Ramsay (Marriott), Helen McCabe (BCDME), Sue Gill, (YES – Your Event Solutions) and Charlotte Gentry (Pure Comms Group) who sat on our panel.
The discussion was facilitated by Leigh Jagger (The Ideas Clinic), who asked our panelists to share their experiences, both personal and professional. The group discussed the progress that the industry has and hasn’t made on issues of equality and inclusion. They shared their thoughts on work/ life balance, overcoming imposter syndrome (and still facing it today!) and guilty pleasures that have been getting them through lockdown. They discussed mental health, mistakes, mentors and finally each of them shared what they would tell their younger selves if they were able to jump into a time machine!
