PROJECT AIMS

Designed to attack complacency and a culture of cutting corners. Draw people in, getting them to think about the issues and how difficult it can be, especially for younger employees, to speak up.  Get everyone to take responsibility for their own and colleagues’ safety, not to tolerate any unsafe practice.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE

Part of an on-going company-wide campaign – ‘Stay Safe’ which raises safety awareness and provides all employees (but especially those working in the field) with tips, tools, techniques and insights designed to ensure safety.  A short teaser was shown before Christmas with the main film rolling out in January. It’s shown in team meetings with managers primed to promote discussion afterwards and encourage ownership of the issues raised.

 

MEASURES OF IMPACT AND EFFECTIVENESS

Monthly telephone polling is conducted to see how key messages have been understood. Main aim is to have lasting impact, with a change in behaviour down the line. Ultimately, effectiveness will be measured by a reduction of lost time through injuries, with a long-term view to reduce this to 0%.
