PROJECT AIMS

As part of their one to one Child Sponsorship program, World Vision wanted to encourage new Sponsors to write a Welcome Card to their new sponsored children. These young people are encouraged to tell their story and really connect with their sponsors as part of their on-going development.

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE

New Sponsors would receive a letter in the post from World Visions, as well as a series of emails. These emails explain the workings and the exciting benefits of becoming a Sponsor, including the ongoing development and how the lives of their sponsored child would be completely transformed.

 

MEASURES OF IMPACT AND EFFECTIVENESS

The aim was to measure the percentage of new sponsors that sent their ‘Welcome Card’. A group of sponsors were sent just a letter through the post, while a second group were sent the series of emails. We saw a 99% increase in responses from those that received the emails!
