Educating Yorkshire is located at the heart of a diverse northern community, offering a fascinating insight into modern school life in the UK. Through 64 fixed rig cameras, the teachers and pupils of Thornhill Community Academy were captured across seven weeks, with additional filming over the academic year.
The series intended to provide a diverse audience across the UK a compelling insight into everyday life at a very ordinary, yet extraordinary, comprehensive. It aimed to quietly show the often tireless and occasionally heroic work of teachers in one school that could represent what happens in schools every day.
