Project Aims

From the age of fifteen, Daniel Harris has had a passion for filmmaking. He studied media production at college and thrived in the film department in particular. Whilst at university, Daniel was able to gain valuable work experience that helped shape him into the budding filmmaker he is today. In his second year of university, he contacted a small production company seeking work experience and after being impressed with his show reel (including the London Student Film Festival nominee for ‘Best Short Documentary’, ‘Who Killed the Bear’),

Intended Audience

Whilst at university, Daniel was able to gain valuable work experience that helped shape him into the budding filmmaker he is today. In his second year of university, he contacted a small production company seeking work experience and after being impressed with his show reel (including the London Student Film Festival nominee for ‘Best Short Documentary’, ‘Who Killed the Bear’), the company offered him the opportunity for freelance work in the professional environment. As a result, Daniel was involved in a number of projects including shooting London Fashion Week’s promotional film.

Measures of Impact and Effectiveness

Following university in 2013, Daniel secured freelance work with two London based production companies as Editor. He worked on the broadcast music channel, Vintage TV earning eleven broadcast credits and also worked for CB Creative editing and shooting high-end corporate film. In January 2014, Daniel was offered a full time role as a Junior Editor at award winning production company drp. Within a month of being with the company, Daniel progressed from Junior Editor to acting Editor, editing corporate films for organisations such as Jaguar Land Rover, Sainsbury’s and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, always receiving exceptional client feedback.
