There were two major aims for this film… first we had to promote the brand-new, super performance Range Rover Sport SVR, and secondly we needed to showcase the role of Special Vehicle Operations in Land Rover, who will be creating very special versions of the Land Rover range in the future. We were keen to demonstrate the uniqueness of this vehicle… all Land Rover capability but with never seen before levels of performance. So where better to put our car than on a really, really wet Silverstone race track.
There is a small but dedicated customer base for performance SUVs so of course we had to appeal to this audience, but additionally as this is a halo product we had to reach a broader Land Rover customer base, communicating the brand’s technology and performance credentials.
Measures of Impact and Effectiveness
One of our most cherished measures of impact is when a client asks to take one of our films and run it as a TV Commercial, and this has been the case with this film, which is due to run as a TVC in numerous markets around the world very soon. We always shoot with TVC production values in mind and so it can become a cost-effective way for our clients to maximise the value of a shoot.
