To make a film that highlights the growing number of elderly isolated individuals in the UK, the effect that loneliness has on them and their health and how anyone can prevent them being lonely by visiting them as part of the charity’s work. It also provided training for young people from diverse background in the film-making process as part of the Casual Academy
Islington residents, potential volunteers and potential supporters of the charity. The secondary audience is the general public Nationally (as a stand alone film or aligned to other charities wishing to use it for their own purposes).
Measures of Impact and Effectiveness
The film has been viewed more than any other Manor Gardens Centre film. It has led to increased volunteer enquiries. All those who took part in the Academy said it had been a good experience. The top student is now a paid intern at Casual Films.
