Project Aims

When Lloyd met Eliana was produced to create a burning platform and motivate those factories yet to achieve the target. It was first shown at Unilever’s Supply Chain leadership event and then used extensively within the 50 not-yet-compliant factories.

At the same time the film needed to celebrate the pioneering spirit and collaboration of the many factories that achieved their goal. The film was also used to explain the initiative externally to media and Key Opinion Formers.

Measures of Impact and Effectiveness

The film has helped Unilever accelerate the programme and reach the target of 100% a couple of weeks into 2015. At the end of 2014 46 of the 50 factories had reached zero non-hazardous waste to landfill, with the remaining 4 needing to validate some final aspects, which have all been resolved in January. It has also succeeded in creating a climate of celebration of the achievement and the collaboration involved, within the 100,000 employees of the Supply Chain and across Unilever as a whole.
