The EVCOM Screen Awards at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, the premium awards for corporate film and branded digital content are now open for entry. The EVCOM Screen Awards 2017 are a unique opportunity to showcase work to corporate brands through a rigorous, independent judging process that sets the benchmark for screen content.
This year’s Screen Awards category line-up includes three new categories. Live Video reflects the rapid growth in live streaming on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and webcasting. One to Watch is for film or digital start-up businesses that are making waves in branded film content, and Rising Star is for the most talented newcomer to the corporate film and visual communication industry – whether freelance or employed by a production company.
As the only membership association that represents all areas of corporate communication, EVCOM has designed the Screen Awards as a key part of measuring and promoting outstanding work across the whole industry. They are aligned with EVCOM’s Live Awards and Clarion Awards which respectively recognise the very best work in business events and CSR communication.
The new EVCOM Industry Awards will honour the best of the best in all sectors of the industry for a gala night in November encompassing the most prestigious categories of the EVCOM Live, Screen and Clarion Awards, along with new categories reflecting the integrated communication industry.
EVCOM Screen Awards Gold winners will automatically be entered into the EVCOM Industry Awards for a chance to be honoured a second time at the very highest level. The categories for Brand Communication, Internal Communication, Regular Communication and Production Company of the Year will be entered via the Industry Awards, which will open for entry in March.
The cost of entry for EVCOM members has been reduced to just £150 per submission, while the entry fee for non-members is £290.
Andy Smith, EVCOM Chairman said: “2017 is set to be an exciting year for our industry and with this comes the launch of the all-new EVCOM awards schemes. Designed and built on the hugely successful existing schemes, we have created a more focused, streamlined series of awards that maximise recognition across all the sectors we work in.”
Steve Garvey, CEO of EVCOM added: “The EVCOM Screen Awards are blazing the trail with new categories that recognise the rapid rise of digital video, building on decades of expertise in corporate film. We are delighted to hold the winners ceremony at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, a fitting venue for the very best in moving images.”
