Sales Manager

Job objective

To lead MCI UK corporate sales including the achievement of financial targets and the building of relationships with potential key clients

Main responsibilities 

  • Proactively research and identify contacts and opportunities within the existing UK and group client portfolio as well as the CRM database
  • Arrange introductory appointments with new contacts
  • Attend initial meetings to identify client needs when required
  • Create detailed briefing documents for every opportunity obtained
  • Take initial brief and write client proposal responses for new and existing client contacts
  • Prepare proposal budgets
  • Produce pitch documents and presentations
  • Review and maintain CRM system
  • Create detailed client mapping documents
  • Manage MCI group reporting
  • Attend networking opportunities when required
  • Provide weekly activity reporting to head of department
  • Work with the head of department to create a marketing communications plan
  • Contribute content and ideas for publishing online
  • Identify opportunities outside of client accounts for marketing and sales development 

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years relevant corporate event sales experience
  • Strategic business development experience
  • Accounting and pricing acumen
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Interest in current business issues
  • Computer literate in Microsoft products
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • UK & International travel required
